Guardian Healthcare

Guardian Healthcare was co-founded by husband-and-wife team Jose and Zoraida de la Rosa in 2008. Zoraida, a Spanish-speaking nurse, was often the only nurse able to provide care in her patient’s preferred language. Guardian Healthcare was formed with the goal of closing this cultural competency gap. Under the de la Rosas’ vision, leadership, and expertise, Guardian Healthcare has expanded to cover the Boston, Brockton, Lawrence, and Worcester areas. Our nurses, therapists, and home health aides provide healthcare services in a variety of languages to ensure excellent service, care, and comfort for all patients.

In addition to his role as CEO of Guardian Healthcare, Jose maintains an ongoing commitment to civic and community engagement. As a leader in the Latino and business communities, Jose often participates in charitable sponsorships, panel discussions, and other speaking engagements. He has gained widespread recognition for his work and has been included in FORTUNE Magazine’s 2017 list of top 100 urban businesses and Boston Business Journal’s 2017 Power 50 list. He has also received the U.S. Small Business Association’s 2015 Minority Business Owner of the Year and the ALPHA 2017 Excellence in Service Award.

Our vision for the future includes participating in the reform of healthcare accessibility, which is too often inaccessible to underprivileged people. We aspire to continue to grow as a company, consistently empowering marginalized individuals and communities by providing access to quality, compassionate healthcare. We are dedicated to providing our efforts, care, and experience to our existing and future areas of service.
